writings on the internets

hello fellow and future listeners,

WORD PLAY IS IN FULL SWING, swaying to the force of the (sorta) full moon's glow and ready to rock some jock jams! not really... though i really miss those space jam late nights where we'd blast "tag team back again" oh so innocently. our first show back is tomorrow, thursday, 6-8 PM texas time, and its going to kick off this summer correctly. my side partner in crime, kat, will not be joining me in the radio booth until the fall due to her extreme longing to be in lubbock for the summer. no hard feelings on lubbock vs san marcos, hell i was born in lubbock so i cant complain! but the show will go on even though im mourning the (temporary) death of my co-host and not to mention we are still saddened by the death of KTXT 88.1 in the 806. i know the air waves arent as good when you stream over the internet, but lubbockians and others alike, feel free to check up on this here blog for links to our previous radio blocks, especially if you missed a show and are wanting to get a word fix. the good news is: my incredibly internet-saavy brother (residing and listening in ohio, mind you) will be providing me with high-res and better-sounding mp3s of our shows that you can hear HERE! ta-da! i love technology... most of the time.

i, uh, dont want to add to the dots of the hipster-runoff-esque cyberspace universe out there... or maybe i kinda do... but positive things come out of positive people and i am wanting to share the ever-growing positivity of the music and the discussions word play brings into WERD format. so expect some writings on previous music played, random youtube links, live shows feedback, uh.. best of shot in the dark from the chronicle and updates on the DOW, et cetera. and feel free to bring back to the word play community by leaving comments here or emailing me at ktswwordplay@gmail.com ! life stories and favorite-at-the-moment bands are also recommended when writing your opinion on here or over there in email land.

i end with this video, because i think more zach galifianakis characters should make videos like kanye west. NOTE the double piroeutte (get it!) AND DOUBLE NOTE! bonnie "prince" billy is backing him up as the, uh... what do you call the guy on stage that basically just supports the rapper by standing there and occasionally saying "yuh" ?
